Nearly 150 years ago, the founder of the Baha'i Faith, Baha'u'llah proclaimed that there was only one true God, the author of all religions, and that all people are equal. Today the Baha'i Faith is comprised of nearly six million believers in over 230 countries across the world, making it one of the most widespread and diverse faiths.
Despite the varied and sundry backgrounds of the believers, Baha'is have a special bond of love and fellowship for one another and indeed for all mankind. This unity stems from the teachings of Baha'u'llah.
Throughout the world Baha'is are engaged in study classes, seminars, and countless service projects in an effort to promote the oneness of mankind and higher social and spiritual ideals to all mankind.
